Experts have proven that colours can trigger the happy hormones in our body through the central nervous system. It is no wonder why I always feel happy whenever I visit De' Pop Culture. DPC a newly opened pop-art themed cafe that has happy colours splashed all over the walls, tables, chairs and even on the food (HAHAHA) What I meant was the splendid presentation of food that delights me up and tempts my taste buds :) The food served simply looks so appetizing! Writing this post actually make me feel happy inside. Therapeutic effect kicking in. Hahaha.
This is a place where friendship bonds are built and strengthened; This is a place where happy memories are created. What warms my heart the most was how friends came together and helped DPC look like how it is today. Some drew and painted the walls. Some designed the logos and boards. Some flew in decorations for DPC. Opening the cafe was a young girl's dream, but building it was a team's effort. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU ALL!
Comic art open/close board
Very detailed right down to signage on the door.
Hippy aircon with intriguing frames on the wall
Closer look on one of the pieces; My fav Loki.
Happy colours all about!
Cosy at the same time :)
1) All-Day Breakfast PlatterThis is one of the signature and popular dish in DPC. Yes, they serve all day breakfast everyday anyday anytime. All my favourite food has gathered together into one plate: Scrambled eggs, bacon, sauteed mushroom, hasbrown, baked beans, sausage, salad. Too awesome! You can also order this platter for two pax and have your food served on a spinning board. The scrambled eggs win my heart hands down!
2) Crab and The Dog
Another creative creation by DPC. The hotdog was being replaced with a thick pork patty and spiced up with a generous serving of DPC's unique crab sauce. If you always order the same old dishes whenever you go, Crab and The Dog would be a great alternative to your choice without being too experimentative.
3) Aglio Olio
Mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, garlic, chilli padi. All my favourites in one dish again!
4) Truffles Fries
The original thick cut truffles fries! Crispy, cheesy and heavenly. One pot is definitely not enough for me. I love dipping these fries into my mushroom soup as well.
Green: Kiwi Soda
Red: Red Raspberry Soda
Yellow: Passion Fruit Soda
Blue: Blue Raspberry Soda
I love the kiwi soda! Really refreshing and goes very well with my main course.
6)Choc Peanut Butter Cake
The name says it all, and it didn't disappoint :)
Banana + Nutella = Banna-tella. I can't decide if this is a main course or a dessert.
Photo koped from DPC web.
8) Panna Cotta
Using just milk, cream and gelatin, this tasty dessert was created. I really love it!
