I know you miss me, I miss you too.

It's been nearly a month since I disappeared from blogsphere. All's been well. I am stepping up, finally doing what I have said I would do years ago. My archived blog posts could prove that. If you are on my Twitter, you should have known by now that I signed up for braces. Before I made that final call, I have spoken to many people, majority of them being ex-wearers of braces. I can't say all were supportive of my decisions. They spammed and injected all the cons of wearing braces into my brain, and tried to psych me out of it. Still, I went ahead because all the important people were rooting for me. Thank you people!

The day of teeth extraction was crazy. I went for it after my last night shift of work. The process was pretty much painless. The dentist applied topical anesthetic, followed by injecting more chemical into my gums, numbing half of my lips and cheeks. With little effort, off came my two teeth. I was prescribed some painkillers and anti-biotics to prevent infection. Although my gums weren't hurting, I took the painkillers anyways in case the pain starts to kill me.

Malcolmteo came for me to gloat about my new image without 2 teeth. Afterwhich I fell asleep. When I woke up, my eyes felt rather dry so I applied droplets of eye mo to each other. And then terror began.

My eyes started to swell. It began like a mosquito bite on my lower eyelids, and spread through the entire lids until it conquer my eyes. Even my iris ballooned. You could imagine my fear.

M escorted me back to dentist for him to have a look at his poor patient. He explained that this is an allergic reaction to the medicines that I have taken. He gave me another pill to make the swelling go away. After walking me back home, M took a cab back.

When he was about to reach his place, my anxiety kicked in again because the swelling seemed to threatened to envelop my eyes. What if I turned blind! :( I called M again and requested for him to accompany me to an eye specialist. Knowing very well that it takes hours for the third pill effect to settle in and that an eye specialist wouldn't be of much help except to sell me some comfort to my ears, M U-turned and came back to me anyways. Poor M only brought that much cash out with him that he had to alight blocks before my house and walked to me. :(

Again, we walked to the eye specialist clinic near my place. Coincidentally, the clinic was just adjacent to my dental clinic. I was about to register myself when the counter receptionist told me that the doctor will only return in like 4 - 5 hours later. T_T It was all fated I guess. We went for lunch and it was home sweet home once more.

I napped and woked up in the evening again. The swelling went down but it was still apparent that my eyes were puffy. Good thing, my eyes were good again the next day. 真的吓死我了!

M and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary on the 28th May 2011. It felt surreal at first, because I have never imagine myself to have come so far with another person, apart from my parents and baby rabbit. Hahaha.

I applied for 5-day leave in view of the occasion. Adding the 3 days of sick leave, I spent 8 days off work. Throughout the week, we TRAVELLED* and play mahjong marathon for 4 or 5 days consecutively. It was so intensive and I almost thought I was training for some mahjong competition. Hahaha.

*Keeping the tension tight until M passes me the memory card storing all the pictures. :D

I shall thick-skinly assume you miss my face. So here are some pictures of myself. You can close the browser now if you can't take it any longer. I love love love my cobalt blue dress. Love it.
